About this photoblog:

A photographic diary

This Journal(photoblog) is my photographic diary.

My name is Martin Andreasen, and I live in small city by the name of Koege, which is located on the eastcoast of Denmark, Scandinavia.

My everyday job has nothing to do with photography, so I am a regular photography enthusiast, who shoots for the sheer joy of it.

I have been posting every day for the whole of 2006, and after that the plan is to carry on posting stuff when I feel like it, since the challenge of producing shots every day is quite hard when you have a job and a social life to take care of.

I really appreciate all comments. No matter if it's a plain pad on the back or constructive criticism. Feel free to drop a few words if you have something on your mind.
If you have questions and post them as a comment, I will reply by mail. So make sure you punch in your e-mail adress when commenting.

I don't usually like when photographers blabber about what equipment they use, but since I have EXIF-data on my entries, I can might as well write a list of the gear I use here:

I have been using my Canon EOS 5D Mark II since spring 2009 after retiring my old Canon EOS-1D

The lenses I use are;
Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM
Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM
Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM
Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 USM
Homemade Schneider/Kreutznatch 75mm tilt/shift lens

Flash:
Canon Speedlite 550EX
Canon Speedlite 420EX
Canon ST-E2 Speedlite Transmitter

For my post-production, which obviously is a big part of my photography, I use Adobe Photoshop CS5 + Adobe Bridge.

So, that was the list of my gear. Before you run out and spend all your money on expensive photography-equipment, you have to remember, that it's not the camera or software that makes the photo, but the person who tells it what to do and what to shoot! So learn the basics of aperture, shutter-time, ISO, focal-lengths, composition. Read a lot of magazines, books and everything you can get your hands on involving photography.
